The Venice Film Festival is here, and the major highlight of the first day was the premiere of the much-anticipated Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

Stars like Jenna Ortega, Catherine O’Hara, and Monica Bellucci made sure to dazzle on the red carpet. Hollywood’s elite were also in attendance, with Cate Blanchett looking absolutely stunning!

However, the festival’s opening also featured the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement, which was presented to the legendary Alien star Sigourney Weaver.

Here’s a roundup of the best-dressed celebrities on the festival’s opening day:

Cate Blanchett arrived in style, channeling a sci-fi vibe with her golden Armani gown. She paired the outfit with Louis Vuitton jewelry, including a necklace she wore earlier in May at the Cannes Film Festival. According to Cate’s stylist, the necklace and other jewels had previously adorned the actress at BAFTA in 2023 and 2024.

Winona Ryder, known for her iconic role in the original Beetlejuice, embraced her Gothic side. She stunned in a black Chanel tuxedo gown complete with a tulle skirt and ruffle blouse.

Sigourney Weaver graced the event in custom Chanel as she accepted her Golden Lion Award. Her ensemble, inspired by Chanel’s Fall 2019 Haute Couture collection, included a shimmering off-the-shoulder black jacket embroidered with sequins and tulle, paired with a black velvet mermaid skirt.

Jenna Ortega, who plays Winona’s on-screen daughter in the new Beetlejuice sequel, wowed in a custom red Christian Dior design. Her outfit, featuring a crop top and tulle skirt, drew inspiration from Lydia Deetz’s iconic red wedding dress, albeit with daring cut-out sections.

Catherine O’Hara, reprising her role from the original film, looked fabulous in a floral embellished Oscar de la Renta dress.

Michael Keaton, returning as Beetlejuice, kept it classy in a suave suit for the premiere.

Monica Bellucci opted for a classic and chic look, donning a custom Vivienne Westwood gown with oversized puff sleeves and a corset. The Italian star accessorized her look with dark sunglasses.

Amy Jackson, fresh from her wedding to Ed Westwick, mesmerized the crowd in a risqué sheer gown adorned with a spiderweb-style pattern.

The opening day of the Venice Film Festival was nothing short of spectacular, with stars shining bright and fashion hitting all the right notes. Anticipation builds as the festival continues, promising more glamour and cinematic achievements.
