Trailer for Disney’s ‘Snow White’ Stars Rachel Zegler, Gal Gadot in Classic Tale

After years of anticipation, Snow White is finally making her way back to the big screen. Disney revealed the first trailer for “Snow White” at D23, ahead of its scheduled release on March 21, 2025.

The film was initially set to open this March, but its release was postponed due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Reflecting its long road to theaters, stars Rachel Zegler (as Snow White) and Gal Gadot (as the Evil Queen) were present at D23 two years ago, showcasing the initial footage from the movie.

Directed by Marc Web, known for “The Amazing Spider-Man” films, the new “Snow White” feature promises fresh musical contributions from Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, celebrated for their work on “The Greatest Showman” and “Dear Evan Hansen.”

This latest adaptation arrives nearly 90 years after the original “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” which premiered in 1937 and established itself as a foundational piece of the Disney legacy. Through the years, various interpretations of the Brothers Grimm tale have been brought to life, including Lily Colins’ “Mirror, Mirror” and “Snow White and the Hunstman” with Kristen Stewart.

It is one of several live-action Disney movies set to premiere in the coming months. Leading the charge is “Mufasa: The Lion King,” which debuts on December 20. The live-action remake genre has proven especially lucrative for Disney, with films like “Beauty and the Beast” and “Aladdin” grossing $1 billion pre-pandemic. The most recent adaptation, “The Little Mermaid,” garnered $569.6 million.
