Travis and Jason Kelce Sign $100 Million Amazon Deal

Hosts of the New Heights podcast, Travis and Jason Kelce, have signed a significant $100 million deal with Amazon Wondery.

Announced on August 27, 2024, the deal between the Kelce brothers and Amazon Wondery is reported by Variety to be worth “more than $100 million.” This follows reports of the brothers seeking a $100 million valuation for their popular podcast.

Effective Wednesday, August 28, Wondery will have the global distribution rights for all audio and video episodes of the New Heights podcast. They will also have the rights to create international audio adaptations and will be able to monetize and distribute both audio and video content.

The New Heights podcast will continue to be available on standard podcast platforms and YouTube. However, Wondery+ subscribers can enjoy ad-free episodes. Additionally, the deal includes opportunities to develop and distribute merchandise based on the podcast.

“We couldn’t be more excited to team up with Wondery for the next phase of New Heights,” said the Kelce brothers in a joint statement. “We love this show and the fanbase that has grown with us over the last two seasons. Wondery understands our shared vision and brings a wealth of experience and resources to take us to new heights! We are going to create some groundbreaking moments together through this partnership.”

This deal mirrors other high-profile agreements Wondery has secured with personalities like Dax Shepard, Joe Rogan, and Alex Cooper, as highlighted by Variety.

The Kelces have been making significant moves recently, having both worked with Amazon in the past. The studio distributed the Kelce documentary last year. Coming soon, Travis will host “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” for Prime Video.

Since the start of the 2022-23 NFL season, Travis and Jason Kelce have been hosting the New Heights podcast. This weekly series features the brothers discussing their experiences in professional football, with conversations spanning various topics, including Taylor Swift.

The Kelce brothers, Travis and Jason, are celebrated NFL legends. Jason served as the Philadelphia Eagles’ center from 2011-2023 and has recently retired. Throughout his career, he played in over 190 games, made seven Pro Bowls, was named First-team All-Pro six times, and won a Super Bowl championship.

Travis Kelce, on the other hand, has become one of the top tight ends in the NFL. Entering the league in 2013, he has since made seven All-Pro teams (four First-teams, three Second-teams), attended nine Pro Bowls, and won three Super Bowl championships.

His initial NFL season was off to a rocky start, playing in just one game without recording any statistics. However, he bounced back with over 860 yards and five touchdowns. From 2016-22, Travis consistently achieved over 1,000 yards each season, with his 2020 season being his best, where he caught 105 passes for 1,416 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Travis also holds several NFL postseason records, including the most postseason receptions (165) and touchdowns by a tight end (19). Additionally, he holds the record for the most seasons with 1,000 receiving yards by a tight end (seven).

Looking ahead, Travis is set to feature on the small screen. He will star in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming FX horror series, Grotesquerie.
