Travis Kelce Dedicates Karaoke Win to Taylor Swift at Golf Tournament

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift has no reason to worry about any competition in the singing department from her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. While Swift is preparing for her Eras Tour shows in Milan, Italy, Super Bowl champion Kelce took the stage at the American Century Championship charity golf tournament on Thursday, July 11. Kelce opted to skip the ESPY Awards and instead show off his singing skills in a karaoke competition.

Kelce, known for his sweet demeanor and legendary hands on the football field, attempted to perform Whitesnake’s iconic 1982 hair metal ballad, “Here I Go Again.” But judging by his performance, a solo album doesn’t seem to be in his immediate future. He croaked out vocals while backed by a live band, managing to get most of the lyrics right despite mumbling, “where the f–k are the words!?” at one point. He emoted his way through the ballad before eagerly shouting the chorus.

Despite the rough performance, Kelce took home the gold in the competition. He jumped up and down as his name was announced, displaying excitement as if he’d won another Lombardi trophy. Pretending to cry, Kelce yelled, “Taylor, this is for you!” This isn’t his first rodeo at the all-star Lake Tahoe charity event. He’s previously performed covers of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” in 2019 and Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble’s “Pride and Joy” in 2022.

The Kelce family had more to celebrate as Travis’s brother, retired NFL great Jason Kelce, won the long drive competition with an impressive 322-yard drive. The weekend’s event also promises a highly anticipated showdown between DJ Khaled and Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon. Fallon recently challenged Khaled to a golf-off during his show, and Khaled accepted, vowing to bring his A-game. Khaled even told Fallon to come prepared with his golf bag and a “big brown paper bag” filled with cash for when he loses.
