Travis Kelce Promised Taylor Swift’s Family After One Year Together

Travis Kelce has taken on a protective role in Taylor Swift’s life, with reports suggesting that her family views him as a ‘built-in bodyguard.’ Swift’s family reportedly approves of her relationship with the NFL star, as their bond continues to strengthen.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Taylor’s family and everyone who knows her is so relieved by her relationship with Travis not only because she is madly in love but also because he makes her security personnel’s job much easier.” The source added, “No one will try to come close to her when she is holding hands with her powerhouse boyfriend.”

During his ‘New Heights’ podcast sessions with his brother Jason Kelce, Travis has not hesitated to express how protective he feels towards Taylor. Reflecting on their first dates in New York City, he shared this sentiment openly.

On the show, Travis said: “I feel like whenever I’m on a date, I’m always having the sense that I’m a man in the situation. I’m protective, yeah, for sure. You always have to have that feeling or self-awareness, I guess.”

Additionally, just months into their relationship, Kelce reportedly asked Taylor’s father for his blessing to marry her. Insiders are now speculating about a possible engagement in the near future.

The couple confirmed their relationship at a Kansas City Chiefs game last season, where Swift was seen in the stadium with Travis’s mother. Swift supported Kelce throughout the 2023 NFL season, attending 13 games and even flying 13 hours from Tokyo to see him win the Super Bowl.

Kelce has reciprocated this support by attending Swift’s performances across South America, Australia, and Europe during her Eras tour. However, the past few weeks have seen the couple apart, as Swift continues her tour in Europe and Kelce returns for training camp with the Chiefs.

Swift is expected to wrap up the European leg of her tour in the next two weeks and plans to fly directly to Kansas City to reunite with Travis.
