Travis Kelce Reportedly Co-Owns Winning Horse Named in Honor of Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift isn’t the only “Mastermind” in her relationship with Travis Kelce.

The NFL superstar recently made a savvy business move by becoming a part-owner of a race-winning horse. The horse’s name appears to be an Easter egg for the “Anti-Hero” singer. According to ESPN, Kelce has purchased an ownership stake in a 3-year-old racehorse named Swift Delivery. The news was announced by Team Valor International founder and CEO Barry Irwin, on Tuesday, Aug. 27. Irwin revealed that Kelce, 34, has acquired a significant share of the Thoroughbred gelding.

Kelce’s investment also involves the Zoldan Family, owners of Phantom Fireworks. Fans aren’t convinced that the horse’s name is merely a coincidence. The moniker seems to be a subtle nod to Swift, 34.

Becoming a part owner of Swift Delivery is certainly a tongue-in-cheek move from the Chiefs player, who seems to be learning a few tricks from the singer. However, it’s likely that it wasn’t only Swift Delivery’s name that enticed Kelce. The horse also has an impressive record.

Swift Delivery, bred in Kentucky, has won its last two starts at Woodbine. The horse will make his stakes debut in the Toronto Cup at Woodbine by the end of the month. It’s no secret that Kelce is interested in horse racing, as he attended this year’s Kentucky Derby, fitting in perfectly with his preppy racecourse attire.

He also attended this year’s derby with the Zoldans in May. According to ESPN, Kelce is friends with Phantom Fireworks CEO Bruce Zoldan’s son, Alex.

Kelce’s latest move adds another layer of intrigue to his story, especially in the light of his connection with Taylor Swift. Fans will undoubtedly be interested to see how Swift Delivery performs in the upcoming Toronto Cup.
