Travis Kelce ‘Very Concerned’ Over Taylor Swift Vienna Terror Plot

After canceling her Vienna Eras Tour shows due to a terror plot, Travis Kelce was “very concerned” for Taylor Swift. Kelce contacted her “immediately” upon hearing the news. However, due to his commitments with the Kansas City Chiefs, he is unable to go to Europe to be with her as they are about to begin their NFL season with a preseason matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Reports from The U.S. Sun indicate that Kelce and Swift had lengthy conversations to comfort her. He reportedly keeps “one of his phones” by his bed in case she needs to reach him. While he is “relieved” that the shows were canceled, he offered to fly to Vienna.

The Chiefs are nearing the end of training camp and have their first preseason game on August 10. They begin their regular season with an AFC Championship game rematch against the Baltimore Ravens on September 5.

Right before Taylor Swift was set to play three shows in Vienna, Austria, they were canceled due to a terror plot. Two teenagers involved in the plot were arrested on Wednesday, August 7. The plot reportedly involved these young men intending to drive a bomb-filled car into the crowd at Ernst-Happel Stadium, where the shows were scheduled. They had been hired to work as security at the venue and “planned to murder concertgoers with self-made explosives and machetes.”

Fortunately, the shows were canceled, and Swift is safe. Despite the cancellations, Swift’s fans, known as Swifties, still gathered in the streets of Vienna to celebrate her. They met in the city, exchanged friendship bracelets, and sang her songs.

The Eras Tour is set to continue on August 15, with Swift performing five shows from August 15 to 20 to conclude the European leg of the tour. A brief hiatus will follow, during which Swift will likely attend a Chiefs game or two, before resuming in October.

Since its start on March 17, 2023, the Eras Tour is nearing its end. The second North American leg, encompassing 18 dates, will conclude the tour from October to December. Currently, the final scheduled show of the Eras Tour is set for December 8 in Vancouver, Canada.
