Travis Scott Arrested in Paris After Alleged Fight with Bodyguard: Reports

Rapper Travis Scott has been arrested in Paris following an alleged altercation with his bodyguard. The incident reportedly took place at Paris’ luxury Georges V hotel, where Scott is accused of attacking a security guard who tried to intervene in a fight between Scott and his bodyguard.

The French prosecutors told Reuters that the 33-year-old “Sicko Mode” rapper was taken into custody for “unspecified violence.” Efforts to get comments from Scott’s representatives and French authorities by USA TODAY were unsuccessful.

On the previous day, Scott was spotted in the audience with fellow rapper Quavo, enjoying the Olympics men’s basketball semifinal game between Team USA and Team Serbia.

This arrest marks the second reported incident involving the Houston native in recent months. In June, Scott was arrested in Miami following a disturbance at a marina. Online records indicated that he was booked at a Miami-Dade County correctional center on charges of trespassing and disorderly intoxication.

According to the arrest affidavit, officers responded to a complaint about a fight on a yacht. Upon arrival, authorities observed Scott standing by the dock, yelling at those onboard. Despite being instructed to sit down, Scott allegedly ignored commands and repeatedly stood back up. His breath reportedly smelled strongly of alcohol, the police said.

Eventually, police claimed they asked Scott to leave, which he initially did. But soon after, he returned and approached the yacht again. His erratic behavior, yelling, and disturbing the peace of the marina’s occupants and nearby residential buildings led to his arrest.

Furthermore, in May, another incident involved Scott and Alexander “A.E.” Edwards, the boyfriend of music icon Cher. Reports from People and Entertainment Tonight detailed an altercation between Scott and Edwards at a private villa party following the AmfAR Cinema Against AIDS Cannes Gala. Nightclub owner Richie Akiva hosted the “The After” party where the scuffle occurred.

The altercation reportedly stemmed after Scott and rapper Tyga performed on stage together. Edwards, a friend of Tyga, was involved in the incident. Both Tyga and Scott are connected through their past relationships with Kylie Jenner. There are conflicting accounts regarding who initiated the fight, and the reason for the confrontation remains unclear. However, no serious injuries were reported.
