Travis Scott Seeks Dismissal of Trespassing Case, Cites Lack of Clear Signs

Travis Scott is seeking to move past his June arrest by requesting a judge to dismiss his trespassing case, arguing that the marina where the incident occurred lacked proper “No Trespassing” signs.

The rapper’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, filed a motion to dismiss the case on Tuesday. Cohen argues that Scott cannot be found guilty of trespassing from a rowdy night with yacht staff in Miami a few months ago.

According to Scott’s legal team, there were no visible signs at the marina itself warning against trespassing. Though some signs were posted on surrounding private property, they argue these do not apply to the marina.

The legal team is also challenging the location of Scott’s arrest. They claim he was apprehended at the address of a private parking lot, not the Miami Beach Marina.

Scott was initially arrested on two charges following an alleged argument at the marina in June. Police claim they instructed him to leave the area, but he reportedly returned within minutes and became belligerent.

He was subsequently arrested and charged with trespassing and disorderly intoxication. However, prosecutors have since dropped the disorderly intoxication charge.

Scott’s trial for trespassing is currently scheduled for September. The outcome of his motion to dismiss the case remains to be seen.
