Trista Sutter Reflects on ‘Fearful’ Early Labor with Son Max

Trista Rehn Sutter, the original Bachelorette, recently paid tribute to her son Max and her husband of over 20 years, Colorado firefighter Ryan Sutter. The couple, who found their love on ABC’s hit show, are considered a success story in Bachelor Nation, having built a loving family with two kids. Trista took a moment to reminisce about the night Max was born and to express how much her family means to her.

This past Friday, Trista shared a heartfelt post on her Instagram Stories dedicated to both Ryan and Max. Reflecting on the night Max was born, she wrote:

This time 17 years ago, I was sleeping in a hospital room with a monitor on my belly and an IV in my arm. I was only 36 weeks pregnant and was a complete and utter nervous wreck. Crazy to think back on that night and all the emotions coursing through me. Fearful it was too early, anxious to meet the tiny human that I’d been growing inside of me…

Trista remembered hoping that the medical staff would safely deliver her baby and that she would be “a good mom.” Fortunately, Max was born healthy and is now 17 years old. For Trista, these years have been the “best 17 years” of her life. She expressed happiness about her and Ryan’s relationship, which blossomed into a loving family.

She also promised Max there would be more birthday celebrations on her Instagram soon.
