The third season of Abbott Elementary earned a spot in Uproxx’s “Best TV Shows Of 2024 (So Far)” list. Last month, Quinta Brunson, the creator of the acclaimed ABC comedy, announced an exciting development for the upcoming fourth season.

“We will be doing an interesting crossover this season,” Brunson shared, per Variety. “I’m not gonna tell you with who, or with what, or where, or when, but it’s really exciting and I think it’ll change television as we know it.”

Tyler James Williams, who has captivated audiences with his role as Gregory Eddie on Abbott Elementary, voiced his own hopes for the crossover.

“I would love to see Solange [Knowles] as a cousin,” Williams revealed to People. “I feel like we look alike. It’s like us and then my dad is Orlando [Jones]. Yeah, I think Solange would be great. Just add a family member.”

Williams has received three Primetime Emmy nominations for his portrayal of Gregory Eddie, showcasing his immense talent and popularity on the show.

Throughout its first three seasons, Abbott Elementary has featured a host of star cameos, including appearances by Vince Staples, Questlove, Zack Fox, Kevin Hart, Ayo Edebiri, Andre Iguodala, Jason Kelce, Jalen Hurts, Brandon Graham, and Gritty.

As the anticipation builds for the fourth season, there’s speculation about potential new guest stars. Sexyy Red has expressed interest in appearing on the show, so perhaps she’ll make an appearance when Abbott Elementary returns for its fourth season premiere on October 9.
