Unforgettable Looks from the Venice Film Festival

This has been the best Venice red carpet — rather, the best red carpet period — in recent memory. There have been classic, old-school A-Listers, from George Clooney and Brad Pitt to Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman, and they’ve shown up in proper red carpet glamour.

There is something reassuring about seeing someone like Angelina Jolie in full glamour on the red carpet. The dress itself is very old school, with the exaggerated corsetry, the draping, and the fur cape. The end result on her is very “Hunger Games.” And the hair color too closely matches the dress.

George and Amal Clooney embodied Hollywood fantasy, arriving as the epitome of elegance. He looked simple yet chic, while she dazzled in a yellow gown that perfectly balanced sexiness and sophistication.

Nicole Kidman has consistently demonstrated her prowess on the red carpet. She is fearless, daring to wear a dramatic Schiaparelli gown with a shooting star design. The star-studded design and the gown’s unique gradation are fitting for a star like Kidman.

Taylor Russell redefined red carpet fashion by wearing a rare couture Chanel dress from the early Nineties. The intricate transparencies, corsetry, and graphic florals made a significant impression, fitting splendidly into the present fashion landscape.

Emma Corrin has a unique ability to make any outfit look stunning. Despite the challenges of pulling off a lime green 1950s-style skirt suit, Corrin looked remarkable. Their partnership with Miu Miu continues to yield impressive results, showcasing a modern twist on classic styles.
