V/H/S/BEYOND Teaser Reveals Terrifying Segments from Justin Long & Others

The seventh installment in the popular found footage horror film series V/H/S will be arriving this October, and Shudder has just released the first official teaser. Titled V/H/S/Beyond, this film features six unique tapes from renowned horror icons such as Justin Long, Kate Siegel, and Mike Flanagan. It’s shaping up to be one of the season’s most anticipated horror releases.

Plot details remain under wraps, but some information about the six stories has been revealed. Kate Siegel and her husband Mike Flanagan have collaborated on the "Stowaway" segment with Siegel directing and Flanagan writing the script.

Other segments include "Stork" by Jordan Downey and Kevin Stewart; "Fur Babies" from Christian Long and Justin Long; "Live and Let Dive" by Ben Turner and Justin Martinez; and "Dream Girl" by Virat Pal and Evan Dickson. Additionally, Canadian filmmaker Jay Cheel has contributed with a segment called "A Special Presentation."

The teaser showcases a variety of wild scenarios, including a SWAT team storming a home, a ritual gone wrong, UFOs appearing in the sky, shootouts, a plane crash, and much more.

One segment’s story has been partially disclosed: "Live and Let Dive." Director Justin Martinez discussed this segment with Collider, which appears to involve the scenes of a plane in the teaser. The narrative follows a group of novice skydivers who find themselves fighting for survival after their plane collides mid-air with a UFO, sending them plummeting toward the ground.

According to Collider, this segment is set to be "one of the franchise’s most ambitious productions yet," blending practical skydiving with gore effects and combining them with plane crash and alien visual effects.

After debuting at Fantastic Fest this September, V/H/S/Beyond will be available on Shudder starting October 4.
