Vera Wang Celebrates 75th Birthday With Rare Throwback Photo

Fashion icon Vera Wang turned 75 on June 27 and celebrated on Instagram with a throwback photo of herself at seven wearing a black shirt. “CIRCA 1956. Just me. TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY AND ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE,” her caption read.

The post was well-received by Wang’s followers, who wished her a happy birthday in advance at the time. “You are truly timeless. I hope you have the best day!” someone posted. “You haven’t aged a bit! We all love you so, all our love always,” another follower commented.

Wang followed up her old photo with a video of herself hopping around and being childlike in a dress, calling it “one of the most treasured moments” of her 55 years in fashion, and two decades less in business. The style mogul gave her fans more to watch on Instagram as she flaunted the entire look.

She wore a sleeveless floor-length black dress with cutouts around the waist area and back. Wang threw on a white fur piece that complimented her dress and kept her hair in a sleek, straight center part. “When your 75th BDAY INVITE calls for Black Tie / Frank Sinatra / RAT PACK,” she revealed.

Many know Wang as a lady that breaks the rules of aging, remaining just as youthful as she did when she first became a sensation. After working for Ralph Lauren and Vogue, she decided to establish her own business specializing in independent bridal wear.

The mother of two also shared an up-close video of herself indulging in some chocolate dessert while singing along to the “birthday song.” The A-list designer credits good genes and hard work for her enviable appearance. Interestingly, she hardly watches her diet or works out, and even eats fast food like McDonald’s daily.
