Victoria Beckham Lands Her Own Netflix Docuseries

Victoria Beckham has secured her own Netflix docuseries following her memorable appearance in her husband David Beckham’s documentary last year.

The yet-to-be-titled docuseries will chronicle Victoria’s remarkable journey from her Spice Girls fame in the ‘90s to her current status as a fashion icon.

“Her Posh Spice days may be behind her, but today Beckham is on a journey to build a fashion empire — and now, fans will be able to see the story behind it all,” reads the logline.

The documentary promises appearances from Victoria herself, her family, friends, and colleagues. It will be produced by David Beckham’s production company Studio 99, which also produced his own documentary “Beckham,” in association with Dorothy St Pictures.

A director for the docuseries has not yet been confirmed.

Victoria was the unexpected highlight of “Beckham,” particularly a scene where David playfully pushes her to admit she was not working class, revealing she was actually chauffeured to school in a limousine. This interaction has since become a widely shared meme.

Last year, “Beckham” director Fisher Stevens revealed to Variety that he spent 14 hours interviewing Victoria for her husband’s documentary. The film delved into David’s evolution from an aspiring athlete to a global soccer and fashion icon.

“It hasn’t all been rosy with his relationship with Victoria. There’s constant controversy,” said Stevens, indirectly referring to rumors of David’s alleged affairs, which were only briefly mentioned in “Beckham.” However, he added, “Frankly, I was quite moved by their relationship at the end of the day, and — after all they’ve been through — how much they love each other, and how close they are.”

Nicola Howson, who worked on “Beckham,” will executive produce the Victoria Beckham doc alongside Julia Nottingham, known for “Pamela: A Love Story.”
