Walking Dead Alums Correa & Vince Star in “Lady in the Lake”

Walking Dead actors Marisol Correa and Pruitt Taylor Vince are featured in the new AppleTV+ thriller series, Lady in the Lake.

Based on the 2019 novel by New York Times bestselling author Laura Lippman, Lady in the Lake is a seven-part series created for AppleTV+. Directed by Alma Har’el, the limited series stars Academy Award winner Natalie Portman, who also serves as an executive producer, alongside Emmy nominee Moses Ingram.

The story, set in 1966 Baltimore, follows the mysterious disappearance of a young girl on Thanksgiving, intertwining the lives of two women. Maddie Schwarts (Portman), a Jewish housewife, seeks to escape her past by becoming an investigative journalist. In parallel, Cleo Johnson (Ingram) is a mother struggling to raise her family amid the complexities of Black Baltimore. As Maddie becomes increasingly obsessed with Cleo’s death, the danger escalates for both their families.

The series also features performances from Y’lan Noel, Brett Gelman, Byron Bowers, Noah Jupe, Josiah Cross, Mikey Madison, and Pruitt Taylor Vince.

Lady in the Lake premiered its first two episodes on July 19 on AppleTV+, with new episodes releasing weekly until the series finale on August 23. A gripping trailer for Lady in the Lake is available to watch online.

Marisol Correa shared the news of her involvement in the series through an Instagram post, showcasing her in period-specific attire and expressing gratitude to everyone involved in the project.

Correa is widely recognized for her role in The Walking Dead, where she was a member of Oceanside from seasons 7 to 11. She has a diverse career with appearances in shows like Lioness, Ghosted, We Own This City, and The Suicide Squad.

Pruitt Taylor Vince plays Bob Bauer, a journalist in Baltimore. He also announced his participation in the series on Instagram.

Vince is known to The Walking Dead fans for his portrayal of Otis in season 2, where his character made a significant sacrifice. Apart from this role, Vince has been seen in recent projects like Crime Story, Bird Box, Gotti, The Blacklist, and Stranger Things. He also stars as Pa Kent in James Gunn’s DC revamp of Superman. Vince’s notable TV roles include J.J. LaRoche in CBS’s The Mentalist, Casper Abraham in NBC’s Heros Reborn, and Finn in HBO’s True Blood.
