Week 5: Who’s Going Home?

If you don’t want to know what happens next on The Bachelorette, stop reading NOW! This post is full of spoilers.

Jenn Tran’s ex threw a wrench into her season by abruptly showing up in New Zealand. Spoilers reveal if he joins the show and who else gets sent home. Keep reading for all the details.

Last week’s episode of The Bachelorette ended in a cliffhanger when someone from Jenn Tran’s past showed up in New Zealand to ask for a second chance. The surprise appearance of Matt Rossi put the eliminations on hold. The only suitor eliminated in Episode 4 was Sam N., who Jenn Tran sent home during a group date.

Jenn was blindsided by her ex’s arrival. The previews for this week’s episode show her informing her other suitors of his appearance. She seems torn over whether to let her past into her future. So, what does she do?

Reality Steve’s spoiler is pretty clear that Jenn Tran denies her ex’s attempt at rekindling their romance. Surprise appearances from the past are common in the franchise, but rarely pan out for the exes.

Jenn Tran hops into another helicopter for a romantic one-on-one date. According to spoilers, she heads to a winery via helicopter with Jonathon Johnson. Grant Ellis is the recipient of the other solo date and the two enjoy horseback riding on the beach. The group date activity is unclear, but it seems to involve a herd of sheep.

Reality Steve’s spoilers predicted three eliminations in the last episode, but that obviously didn’t happen. His sources revealed that only seven contestants make it to Seattle, the next stop in Jenn Tran’s Bachelorette journey. If the spoilers are correct, Episode 5 will see four eliminations, bringing the number of contestants from eleven to seven. Austin Ott reportedly self-eliminates at some point during Episode 5.

Devin Strader is heard in the trailer saying he’s leaving, but he isn’t among the names Reality Steve has as eliminated before Seattle. Those names are John Mitchell, Thomas Nguyen and either Dylan Buckor or Spencer Conley. Jenn Tran has another hot and heavy makeout session with Sam McKinney in one preview for the next episode. It seems he’ll be safe from elimination for another week, despite all the red flags he’s been waving.
