What Jelly Roll’s Wife Bunnie Xo Revealed About Her IVF Journey

For the past few years, Bunnie Xo has been eager to start a family, but she wanted to ensure the timing was just right. In 2019, she and her husband, Jelly Roll, didn’t have the stability she believed was necessary to bring a baby into their lives. At that time, they were still working through the aftermath of an affair he had from 2017 to 2018. Bunnie herself was grappling with sobriety and dealing with depression. Trying to get pregnant or undergo IVF amidst all these challenges seemed overwhelming. She shared these sentiments on the July 2, 2024 episode of her “Dumb Blonde” podcast.

Additionally, their financial situation wasn’t ideal back then. Bunnie was still working as an escort, and Jelly Roll had not yet had his breakthrough in the music industry. Fast forward to the present, and their lives have transformed. Bunnie has retired from sex work and is now earning well through her podcast and production company, while Jelly Roll has risen to Grammy-nominated fame. Reflecting on their journey, Bunnie remarked, “We’re not even the same humans we were in 2019.” She turned 44 in January 2024 and now feels prepared. “I feel like I’ve accomplished so much in my life. And the only thing that’s left is to raise a baby and garden,” she said.

The couple is even contemplating having more than one child. Bunnie shared, “We’re on the fence of having twins. We think we want to have twin boys. I’m not sure.” They plan to start the implantation process in February 2025, aspiring to welcome a DeFord baby into the world in 2026.
