‘Wheel of Fortune’s’ Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White Plead for Help

Wheel Of Fortune hosts Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White recently found themselves in a tricky situation at the Santa Monica Pier. The duo was there for a promotional event for the game show, which led to an unexpected scenario that left them pleading for assistance. Read on to find out what caused the panic.

Ryan and Vanna traveled to the West Coast to promote the new season of Wheel Of Fortune. To celebrate, the Ferris Wheel at the Santa Monica Pier was illuminated to resemble the game’s iconic wheel.

An Instagram post by Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White featured a countdown to the Ferris Wheel lighting up. The caption read, “Santa Monica Pier’s got that Wheel of Fortune glow. Ryan & Vanna lit up the iconic Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel tonight in celebration of the new season, premiering Sept. 9!”

Ryan also shared clips on his Instagram Story, taking his followers along as he met Vanna on the pier. Upon approaching her, he joked, “Vanna White, I heard you were gonna be here. I was just listening to the radio.” They hugged and greeted each other, but the next clip took a concerning turn.

Ryan, Vanna, and WOF Social Correspondent Maggie Sajak were inside a movie trailer. Vanna and Maggie were struggling with the door while Ryan filmed the situation.

“Alright, so we’re here at the Ferris wheel at the pier, but we’re locked in,” Ryan said in the clip. “We can’t get out. We’re stuck!” Both ladies looked worried as they frantically knocked on the window.

People on the pier noticed their plight, and Ryan shouted, “We’re locked in!” Joking with Vanna as she wrestled with the door, he said, “Vanna, you have the magic touch, as always.”

The beloved Wheel Of Fortune co-host kept trying and eventually succeeded in unlocking the door. Maggie Sajak let out a squeal, and Ryan proclaimed, “Vanna White to the rescue.” Thankfully, this minor ordeal didn’t prevent them from attending the promo event.

As fans know, Ryan Seacrest is taking over for Pat Sajak on Wheel Of Fortune in Season 41.

A Reel on Instagram displayed Ryan on the renovated stage, where viewers got a preview of the new puzzle board and other set changes. In the clip, Ryan pointed to the wheel behind him, saying, “Let’s take this thing for a spin.”

Fans will get to see Ryan in action soon, as Season 41 of Wheel Of Fortune begins on September 9.
