For 17 seasons, celebrity chef Rachael Ray captivated audiences with her delightful personality and scrumptious recipes. However, her journey on daytime TV came to an end when the last episode of her self-titled show aired on May 24, 2023.

Explaining the decision to wrap up the show to Deadline, Ray expressed, “In my more than 20-plus years in television, I have had 17 wonderful seasons working in daytime television with Rachael. However, I’ve made the decision that it is time for me to move on to the next exciting chapter in my broadcast career.”

In July 2024, the celebrity chef announced her brand-new TV show, Rachael in Tuscany.

“Buon appetito! @RachaelRay is BACK in Italy, serving up some delicious new recipes for you to enjoy,” she posted on Instagram.

This new show seems to be a perfect fit for Ray, who has always cherished a dream of living in Tuscany. “When I was a very small girl, one of my first memories of life is my grandpa telling me stories about Italy and the mountains and how people would farm all the way up to the sky,” Ray shared on her website. “All of my life, all I ever wanted was to live in Italy.”

Ray achieved her dream and even tied the knot in Italy in 2005 with her husband John M. Cusimano. The couple later bought a home there together.

On Rachael in Tuscany, which premiered on June 24, 2024, Ray teaches viewers how to cook iconic Italian dishes, including squid ink pasta, rabbit ragu, and chicken piccata. The show airs Mondays on the FYI channel.

Her other new show, Meals in Minutes, which premiered in April 2024, is also broadcast on the FYI Network.

Upon her return to television, some viewers noticed a change in Ray’s appearance. After being off the air for a year, fans eagerly welcomed her back. But in a TikTok video promoting Rachael in Tuscany, viewers observed a different Ray as she cooked burgers in a sweater and dark jeans, sporting glasses with minimal makeup — quite different from the glammed-up Rachael they were used to seeing.
