‘White Lotus’ Star Shares Shocking Hotel Bill from Filming

The highly anticipated third season of The White Lotus will take viewers to another luxurious White Lotus hotel, this time in Thailand. During filming, the cast enjoyed swanky accommodations, but not everything was complimentary.

Fallout star Walton Goggins is part of the upcoming season. Consistent with previous seasons, the show was filmed at a Four Seasons resort, this time at the Four Seasons Koh Samui.

Goggins made an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Aug. 12, where he shared a bit about the project. While he couldn’t divulge much about his character or the storyline, he mentioned racking up quite a bill during his stay.

“You get to stay at a five-star [hotel], but what they don’t tell you when you check into the White Lotus is how expensive it is to check out of the White Lotus,” he said. “You don’t have to pay for your room, thank God, but you had to pay for your incidentals.”

“I swear this is a true story—not just for me [but] for everybody—six weeks into it, I go to pay my bill,” he remembered. “I looked at my bill and I started laughing. Literally, he handed me the bill and I started laughing like, ‘Ha, yeah right! You guys are joking.'”

Goggins initially couldn’t believe the bill. “‘You’re telling me Thai spiced cashews cost that much money?’” he asked the hotel staff. “I thought I had maybe, like, five. And they said, ‘No, you had 30.'” Although he didn’t reveal the total amount owed, he mentioned paying $150 for a bottle of prosecco.

The third season of The White Lotus is set to arrive in 2025.
