Over a decade after her passing, Whitney Houston’s music remains a staple in playlists and consistently tops charts worldwide. Remarkably, one album has recently propelled the Grammy Award winner to achieve a new milestone.

Released in 2012, I Will Always Love You: The Best of Whitney Houston is a posthumous album showcasing 29 of the iconic singer’s biggest hits. More than a decade later, Houston’s timeless music continues to resonate with audiences. According to Forbes, the album has astonishingly remained on the Billboard 200 for 208 weeks, translating to four years.

This album features all 11 of Houston’s No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 singles and 21 of her 23 top 10 singles, such as “Saving All My Love For You,” “I’m Your Baby Tonight,” and “All The Man I Need.” Released by the singer’s estate and RCA Records less than a year after her death, the compilation album gained immediate traction. Following its debut, the album stayed on the Billboard Top 200 Chart for 22 weeks, peaking at No. 14.

Forbes indicates that the album sold another 8,400 units in the most recent tracking week. This figure includes 700 physical copies, with streams of the timeless hits contributing to the remaining sales.

The title track, “I Will Always Love You,” stands as Houston’s most significant success. Written by Dolly Parton in 1973, the song held the No. 1 spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 for 14 weeks. It also topped the R&B and Adult Contemporary charts for five consecutive weeks in 1992. The ballad has sold over 24 million copies globally, retaining its record as the best-selling single by a female solo artist.

Another iconic track, Houston’s 1987 hit “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” achieved No. 10 on the Top 300 Most Streamed Songs of All Time chart, as reported by Official Charts.
