Who Is Brody Malone’s Fiancé, Serena Ortiz?

As U.S. gymnast Brody Malone competes in the Paris Olympics, his fiancé Serena Ortiz is there cheering him on.

The Olympics cap off a major comeback for Malone, who suffered a knee injury last March. Ortiz was there to help him recover and get through rehab. “By having her there, literally waiting on me hand and foot, I could see the love in her heart, and it just made me realize how special of a person she was. We grew so close and had some amazing conversations, because I couldn’t do anything else. It was time very well spent with each other,” he said.

Here, get to know Brody Malone’s fiancé Serena Ortiz:

Ortiz grew up in Canton, Georgia, and attended Cherokee High School. She then graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2022, where she was a member of the Phi Mu sorority according to her Instagram.

“Corporate Barbie,” she posted on Instagram in November 2023.

Ortiz and Malone are getting married in May 2025. They got engaged on New Year’s Eve in Sarasota, Florida.

“I’ll find my favorite things, and then pick three to five options,” Ortiz told the Knot about wedding planning with Malone. “I give them to him and ask for his favorite, which I’ve found is a lot less overwhelming.”

For his part, Malone is looking forward to seeing his bride walk down the aisle. “I’ve heard that her dress is awesome, and I keep trying to be sneaky and find a picture of it, but she’s been very protective,” he said.
