Who Was Sent Home After Fantasy Suite Week?

After Jenn Tran’s emotional Fantasy Suite episode ended on a suspenseful cliffhanger, The Bachelorette’s Season 21 “Men Tell All” episode began by airing Week 8’s dramatic conclusion. We witnessed Devin Strader heading to Jenn’s room, intending to be “brutally honest” about his feelings. Jenn then faced her most difficult rose ceremony, sending one man home. Following that, we returned to the studio where host Jesse Palmer welcomed Season 21’s third runner-up to reflect on his heartbreak and reunite with Jenn for the first time since leaving the show.

Curious about what happened between Devin and Jenn? Who went home on The Bachelorette post-Fantasy Suites? Which two men out of Devin Strader, Jonathon Johnson, and Marcus Shoberg are heading to the finale? And what was said during Season 21’s “Men Tell All” special? We’ve got you covered.

First, let’s dive into the resolution of Devin’s drama. Devin made the incredibly long walk to Jenn’s hotel room ahead of the Fantasy Suite Week rose ceremony, anxious after telling Jenn he loved her and not hearing it back. He wanted to express his feelings, fully aware that it might send him home early. Sitting on Jenn’s couch, Devin expressed that he cherished their time together but had doubts about her feelings, given his past experiences of not being the priority in relationships.

Devin explained, “I feel like I’m wanted here, but I don’t feel like I’m needed here, and that scares me because I risked everything for you; my feelings, my sanity.” Jenn admitted, “I’m not as good at expressing my feelings as you are. I know that’s not my strong suit, and I want to do better for you. I don’t know how to be in a healthy relationship or be what you need me to be.”

Ultimately, Jenn told Devin, “Devin, I do love you, you freaking idiot! I love you.” The two exchanged the L-word several times before parting ways. Devin felt healed, saying, “I’m feeling stronger than ever before! I feel like a new man! I’m in love!”

With Devin and Marcus both having heard “I love you” from Jenn, things weren’t looking good for Jonathon Johnson at the rose ceremony. Jonathon shared his stress about getting a rose, expressing that he saw a future with Jenn after their overnight. He also acknowledged his regret over not letting himself fall for her sooner.

Despite his hopes, Jenn gave roses to Devin and Marcus, leaving Jonathon heartbroken. Jenn walked Jonathon to a bench, where he expressed his realization of how incredible she was and his regrets about not getting there sooner. Jonathon told Jenn, “I think you were perfect for me, and I wasn’t perfect for you.” Jenn thanked him for the amazing experience before he headed home, lamenting, “I feel like the biggest idiot because something amazing was right in front of me and I was too much of my own enemy to see it until it was too late.”

During the “Men Tell All” event, Jonathon took the stage with positive comments about his experience and Jenn. He admitted he missed out on something incredible and regretted not getting there quicker. Jonathon praised Jenn’s attentiveness and reassurance throughout their journey. He found it hard to watch Jenn fall in love with Devin and Marcus while his relationship with her remained comfortable, admitting, “That was hard to watch.”

However, Jonathon was excited to see Jenn, saying, “I have a lot of love for Jen…I’m gonna be so excited to just give her a hug, say hi, and hopefully just tell her I hope she found exactly what she’s looking for.”

During their reunion, Jonathon thanked Jenn for helping him reach a place where he could feel deeply about someone so quickly. “Incredibly, I had this epiphany overnight, but I was too late. But I was proud of myself for getting there and happy to meet you.”

The two shared a sweet moment of gratitude and respect, marking the end of Jonathon’s Bachelorette journey. But Bachelor Nation hasn’t seen the last of him. Jonathon is headed to Bachelor in Paradise Season 10, premiering in 2025. Jesse Palmer extended the first invite to the beach to Jonathon, who accepted and will be joined by Bachelorette Season 21 alum Hakeem Moulton.
