Who Will Jenn Pick? How to Watch ‘The Bachelorette’ Finale Tonight

This dramatic season of ABC’s “The Bachelorette,” is coming to a close.

Last week, Bachelor Nation watched as Jenn Tran, ABC’s first Asian American Bachelorette, had her fantasy suite dates with her final three men: Devin, Marcus, and Jonathan. Now, she’s down to only two men competing for her hand in marriage.

Tonight, the conclusion to Jenn’s journey for love will unfold, as either Marcus or Devin will walk away as her fiancé.

“The Bachelorette” finale will air on ABC on Tuesday, September 3, at 8 p.m. EDT.

Episodes of “The Bachelorette” season 21 are available to stream on Hulu, the day after they air live.

You could almost hear the sound of Bachelor Nation’s hearts breaking as Jenn said goodbye to Jonathan, a 27-year-old creative director from Los Angeles.

“I know it doesn’t help our situation now, but I was just on a walk alone on the beach last night and found these chairs overlooking the ocean and just needed a second to think,” Jonathan said to Jenn after the rose ceremony. “And the whole time I was sitting there thinking, I found all the clarity that I needed. There was nobody that I wanted to be sitting there with more than you. And it hit me that I took too long to realize how incredible you are.”

The pair said their final goodbyes, and as he drove off, he told the cameras, “I could see an amazing future with this girl, and I feel like the biggest idiot because something amazing was right in front of me, and I was too much of my own enemy just to see it until it was too late.”

Last week on “The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All,” Bachelor Nation watched the dramatic conclusion to Jenn’s fantasy suites and heard from the men about their experiences on the show.

The footage from Jenn’s fantasy suites picked right back up on the cliffhanger that ABC left fans with on Monday night. Monday’s episode ended with Devin questioning whether Jenn loves him enough to choose him, or loves him at all.

The show jumped right back into that storyline, opening with footage of Devin knocking on Jenn’s door to tell her he doesn’t know if he can continue the show without knowing if Jenn loves him back.

Jenn reciprocated, and Devin left her hotel room with a smile.

The two men left standing, who will have the option to propose to Jenn on next week’s finale, are Marcus and Devin. Fans watched Jenn send Jonathan home at the rose ceremony, and after the footage of his emotional exit played, he joined the rest of the men on stage to talk about his breakup with Jenn.

It’s not all bad news for Jonathan – host Jesse Palmer officially invited him to join the cast of “Bachelor in Paradise” in 2025. Fan-favorite Hakeem, who made waves on social media with his animated facial expressions earlier in the season, was also invited to look for love in “Paradise” in 2025.

In true ‘Tell All’ fashion, host Jesse Palmer dug into some of the conflicts that happened between the men during this season.

Sam M., chosen by fans as one of the main “villains” of the season, finally took the hot seat over his behavior on the show. If you missed it, Sam M. and Jenn had a strong spark initially, but it turned out to be mainly physical – when asked what he liked about Jenn, he batted around the question with revelations about himself and even dropped the “L” bomb in a panic. Jenn dropped Sam M. after Episode 6.

They discussed his issues with Devin, who wasn’t there to speak up for himself – but Jeremy did it for him.

“How about Sam M.?” Jesse Palmer asked the men. “Was he keeping the main thing the main thing?”

“If the main thing was Devin, then yeah…” Jeremy said, invoking a round of laughs and applause from the audience. “Have you ever seen ‘Mean Girls’? And Lindsay Lohan’s character claims she hates Regina George, but all she does is talk about Regina George … That was like Sam.”

After that, Sam M. took the hot seat next to Jesse Palmer as the audience watched a compilation of footage from his time on the show. In response, Sam seemed to be apologetic and a fan of the word “truthfully.” Jesse asked him if he really loved Jenn when he told her that or if it was done to save himself from being sent home.

“I think Jenn, and I think a lot of people, just questioned your authenticity of what you were saying,” Jesse told Sam. “Sam, did you really love her? I think to a lot of people watching that, when you said that, it kind of felt like a hail mary.”

Sam said he was being “100%” truthful and that he really did love Jenn and just didn’t have the right words to tell her. After some back and forth between the men and Sam, who kept dropping the word “truthfully,” Jenn eventually took the stage and confronted Sam as well.

“I’m going to say this in words you’re going to understand, so I’m going to keep the main thing the main thing… I wasn’t upset that you didn’t know how to describe love. Clearly we’re on very different emotional, intellectual levels,” Jenn told Sam.

“What I was upset about though is the fact that I watched this back and saw how you interacted with these men: huffing and puffing your chest everywhere, the blatant disrespect to everybody. And on top of that, in our relationship everything was about you the entire time: How you were feeling in the moment, what you wanted to do. Everything revolved around you.”

At the end of her speech to Sam, Jenn tacked on that as the season was airing, he recruited family and friends to defend him and his actions on social media.

“You watched that back and instead of growing and learning from that, you decided to double down on that,” Jenn said. “And have your friends and family go out online and defend your honor when you’re a grown man.”

She also accused Sam of blaming his poor behavior on the producers, the edit of the show, and ABC instead of “taking accountability for (his) actions.”

“At the end of the day, the man that I saw on that TV show is the exact man that I sat across from that entire journey,” Jenn said. She called him delusional and said she feels very sorry for whoever Sam ends up with if he can’t learn to take accountability for his actions.

The crowd applauded and Sam “truthfully” apologized.

“I think I came up here and spoke with a lot of accountability, truthfully,” Sam said. “I definitely lost a lot of myself in some of those moments…I wish that I could go back and redo them, truthfully.”

Following his emotional exit on episode six, fans were excited to quickly learn they would be seeing more of Grant Ellis next year. The 30-year-old day trader was quietly announced as the lead for season 29 of “The Bachelor” earlier this month.

“As the Bachelor, Ellis is eager to embark on a journey filled with romance, adventure, and genuine connections,” ABC said in a news release. “He hopes to find a partner who shares his values of loyalty, humor and a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.”

Ellis will be only the second Black Bachelor lead in the reality dating show’s more than 20-year history. The first was Matt James during the 25th season of the show in 2021.

More Bachelor Nation content is coming soon! ABC announced earlier this year they would embark on “The Golden Bachelorette” with fan-favorite from Gerry Turner’s season — Joan Vassos, a 61-year-old private-school administrator from Maryland.

“The Golden Bachelorette” will premiere this fall, slotted for Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT. ABC has not yet released an exact date.

Episodes have a 90-minute timeslot, 30 minutes longer than the first season of “The Golden Bachelor.”
