Who Will Replace Reba McEntire on ‘The Voice’?

There have been a lot of shakeups on the judges’ panel of The Voice. Seriously, there have been dozens of judges in the show’s 26 seasons. When Blake Shelton left the competition show three seasons ago, Reba McEntire filled his seat at the judges’ table. Now, she is set to leave at the end of Season 26. Why is she leaving and who will replace her? Keep reading to find out.

When rumors about Reba McEntire leaving The Voice initially started, she reassured fans that she didn’t intend to leave the competition show. Now, it seems that things have changed. It has been confirmed she isn’t coming back after Season 26.

As fans of The Voice know, Reba joined the competition show in 2023. She replaced Blake Shelton, who had been on the show since Season 1. Now, after three seasons, it will be her time to leave.

The country music icon made a huge impact on The Voice during her time on the show. So, it comes as a shock to many fans that she’s decided to call it quits. However, Reba McEntire has a lot of other projects she’s working on right now.

At 69 years old, Reba is potentially the busiest she’s ever been in her career. She released a new album and book last year, titled Not That Fancy. With that, she has had more press dates to attend. She also hosted the 2024 ACM Awards.

Not to mention, this fall, her new sitcom Happy’s Place will be making its debut on NBC. This is the second sitcom she’s been a part of, but it will be different than Reba from the early 2000s where she placed a fictional version of herself. There will be some similarities though, including her best friend Melissa Peterman being on the cast.

On top of everything, she has also been fulfilling her role as a judge on The Voice. Talk about a full plate!

While fans are sad to see her go, there will still be plenty of opportunities to see Reba. As mentioned above, she’ll be on her new NBC sitcom this fall. With more free time, she may also go on to release new music or another book in the near future.

Right now, there aren’t any rumors about who might replace Reba McEntire. It is assumed that they will choose another country musician to take her place since she filled Blake Shelton’s seat. We know one country music star who isn’t available though. Carrie Underwood will be appearing on the next season of American Idol, replacing Katy Perry.

Could it be someone like Luke Combs? Or maybe even Lainey Wilson? Maybe even Blake Shelton will return! Let us know your predictions in the comments below.
