Why Lainey Wilson Says Her Life Has Been a Wild Ride

Lainey Wilson revealed a snippet of the unreleased title track of her highly-anticipated new album.

The reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year offered a sneak peek of “Whirlwind” on Instagram on Wednesday (August 14). It arrives shortly before Wilson releases her 14-track follow-up to her Grammy-winning album, Bell Bottom Country.

“Whirlwind. My life has been a wild ride these past few years, but the one thing that has kept me grounded is music and the people I keep close. That’s what my album, and the title track, are all about,” Wilson said as she shared a teaser of the title track on Wednesday. She previously said Whirlwind “has been a long time coming and I can’t wait for the world to have this body of work in their hands soon. This new chapter of music is the most cathartic and personal piece of art I’ve ever made. I hope this record brings some peace to your whirlwind and wraps its arms around you like it did for me.”

So far, Wilson has released the only collaboration to appear on the album — “Good Horses,” featuring Miranda Lambert — in addition to “4x4xU,” “Hang Tight Honey” and “Country’s Cool Again,” the single that inspired the name of Wilson’s ongoing headlining tour.
