We don’t know what this journey is going to look like.” Grant then shared that he was kept in the dark for a whole week. Madison clarified that it was Grant’s last week at work, and she didn’t want to distract him, giving him the chance to finish his responsibilities strongly.

Madison opted for a considerate and creative approach to tell Grant. She decided to surprise him with a special gift, saying, “I’ll order a really cute little gift to present to him with to tell him that we’re pregnant and that’ll take some days to get in anyways, and so it’s all gonna work out.”

Finally, Madison executed her charming plan to reveal the big news. Grant recalled the moment vividly. He said, “I opened my eyes and the first thing I see is this wooden frame, and it says: ‘We’re having a baby.’ I look down and it’s the pregnancy test… and right next to that is this little baby Jordan shoe, and behind the Jordan shoe is the same type of shoe but in my size.”

Though Madison felt slightly guilty for keeping the secret for a week, it ultimately led to a memorable and precious moment for the couple. Grant felt as though he was having an out-of-body experience, but the joy was undeniable.
