Wicked Tuna Cancelled, Anne-Marie Green Joins 48 Hours, and More News

Wicked Tuna will not be back for Season 14, National Geographic confirmed in a statement to our sister site Variety.

“After 13 seasons on the high seas and more than 200 incredible episodes, the long-running series Wicked Tuna has concluded its run on National Geographic,” it read. “It has been an incredible journey together and there are only two words that seem to fit the moment: Thank You.”

First premiering in 2012, the show followed a group of “salty fishermen from the nation’s oldest seaport, Gloucester, Massachusetts,” as they made their living “rod and reel fishing, one catch at a time — all in pursuit of the bluefin tuna,” per the official logline.

Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks, a spinoff set in North Carolina, aired for eight seasons from 2014-2021.

Longtime CBS News anchor Anne-Marie Green will join Peter Van Sant, Erin Moriarty and Natalie Morales as a correspondent for the network’s Saturday-night staple 48 Hours, per Variety.

CBS’ Big Brother on Thursday drew 3.5 million viewers, leading the night in total audience and also hitting a high for Season 26.
