‘Yellowjackets’ Star Samantha Hanratty and Husband Christian DeAnda Expecting First Child

We’re misty-eyed because Yellowjackets star Samantha Hanratty is expecting her first child with her husband, Christian DeAnda! The actress and soon-to-be mom shared a heartwarming video on Instagram on Monday, capturing the moment she discovered she was pregnant.

In the clip, the 28-year-old Hanratty shares snippets of her pregnancy journey, starting with her taking a pregnancy test in a bathroom. Off-camera, she humorously cheers herself on for not spilling urine everywhere.

The first test, however, brings a moment of disappointment when it comes back negative. A teary-eyed Hanratty attempts to comfort herself in bed, vowing to try again the following week.

The video then skips ahead to another round of testing in her bathroom. This time, the actress appears shocked and elated, holding up the positive test and repeatedly exclaiming, “no way!” in joyful disbelief.

“Still in shock and it’s been 4 months!” Hanratty captioned the post. “I will be sharing more from my journey because it has been a wild one! Come follow this new adventure.”

Hanratty, known for her role as teenage Misty Quigley in Yellowjackets, married DeAnda in November 2023. According to People, the couple exchanged vows in a small ceremony at Terra Mia Vineyards in Paso Robles, California, attended by 140 guests, including family, friends, and some of Hanratty’s co-stars.

The adorable couple met after Hanratty moved to California in 2020 during the pandemic lockdowns. They connected over a dating app, leading to a romance that brought them to this exciting new chapter in their lives.
