‘Yellowstone’ Season 5 Won’t End the Show After All

Yellowstone is set to conclude after the upcoming second half of Season 5, but the story may not end there. According to a new report, some of the show’s biggest stars are in negotiations to return for a potential Season 6.

TVLine recently shared that Yellowstone might continue into Season 6 with Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) and Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton) taking center stage. The duo could be stepping up following the departure of Kevin Costner (John Dutton), based on information from Puck News.

Hauser and Reilly are reportedly working on new deals to extend their roles in the series, initially thought to conclude after Season 5’s second half, set to air in late 2024.

In a May press release, Paramount announced the show’s end, with a sequel planned to replace it after Costner’s exit due to stalled negotiations with producers.

Long-speculated to reprise their roles in a sequel titled 2024, Hauser and Reilly appeared alongside Matthew McConaughey, who was rumored to lead the show.

However, the latest update from Paramount reveals that the Yellowstone sequel will star Michelle Pfeiffer and former Suits star Patrick J. Adams, under the title The Madison. McConaughey no longer appears attached to the project, while rumors regarding Kurt Russell’s involvement remain unconfirmed.

Paramount has yet to confirm Puck’s report on Yellowstone‘s continuation into Season 6. The anticipated Season 5, Part 2 is scheduled to premiere on Paramount Network on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 8 PM ET. No premiere date has been set for The Madison.
