Zac Efron Speaks Out After Hospitalization

Zac Efron put fans’ fears at ease over the weekend after his emergency hospital stay on Friday. The Iron Claw star was rushed to a hospital in Ibiza following a swimming incident that reportedly required assistance to get him out of the pool.

While the actor’s representatives have released a statement following the hospitalization, Efron himself hadn’t updated fans or made any public appearances since the news broke. To reassure his followers, Efron posted a photo and message to his Instagram story.

“Happy and healthy — thanks for the well wishes,” Efron wrote over a photo showing him doing shirtless dumbbell presses while balancing on a large rubber ball. Despite the “minor swimming incident,” it appears there were no lingering issues for the star, although the lack of detailed information initially raised some concerns.

This recent episode isn’t Efron’s first serious health scare. He previously revealed that he “almost died” after shattering his jaw. He addressed the incident and the accompanying speculation about his changing appearance while promoting The Greatest Beer Run in 2022.

“My mom told me. I don’t really read the internet, so, I don’t really give a f-k,” Efron said. “It was funny…it sucks, I almost died. But we’re good.” Efron has taken the summer for himself following the release of The Iron Claw and the comedy Ricky Stanicky with John Cena.

Fans are undoubtedly relieved to see Efron is doing well, and his Instagram post serves to quell any remaining fears. His open approach to addressing rumors and keeping fans informed has certainly helped in maintaining a strong connection with his audience.
