Zach & Tori Roloff Defend Dwarf Babies, Aware of Risks

Little People Big World stars Zach Roloff and Tori Roloff have opened up about having children with dwarfism and society’s perception of dwarfism. The couple didn’t hold back in sharing their thoughts.

Longtime viewers of Little People Big World know that Zach and Tori’s three children have dwarfism. Recent scenes from Season 25 show Jackson Roloff starting to notice the differences between himself and other children his age.

Zach revealed that filming scenes in public was always a challenge. Being little people already draws attention, but with TLC cameras following their every move, it felt like living in a “fish bowl.”

Some fans have criticized Zach and Tori for choosing to have more children due to the risk of them having achondroplasia and the complexities that come with it. But Zach and Tori are unapologetic. They knew from the beginning that their children could be little people, but that didn’t stop them from growing their family to five.

Recently, the couple addressed the negative perceptions society has towards little people. Tori commented on the unwarranted feedback they receive, saying, “We get a lot of feedback from people that just don’t deserve to have a voice, honestly, like in our lives. It is brought up occasionally, you know, questioning our decision to have children when we knew they could have dwarfism.”

Zach added that there was a 50/50 chance for each of their children to be little or average-sized. It turns out, all three of their kids have dwarfism. He poignantly asked, “You’re telling me I shouldn’t have brought kids in with dwarfism because of the ridicule they’re going to get from society? That’s a society issue… Society needs to change.”

Despite the criticism, Zach and Tori remain resolute in their decision to have their family. Fans love Jackson, Lilah, and Josiah, and cheer for the family as they navigate life’s challenges together.
