23 protesters arrested as demonstrations persist on IU campus

Nearly two dozen individuals were arrested in Bloomington, Indiana for resisting law enforcement after officers responded to an encampment at Dunn Meadow. Officers from the Indiana State Police and Indiana University Police Department arrived at the encampment at approximately 12:20 p.m. and gave verbal warnings to remove structures. Those who refused to comply were detained and removed. 23 individuals were transported to the Monroe County Justice Center on charges ranging from criminal trespass to resisting law enforcement.
