24 years after a deathbed confession, bodies of mother and daughter killed finally discovered

A man on his deathbed confessed to killing a mother and daughter 24 years ago, leading to the recovery of their remains this week. The bodies of Susan Carter and her daughter Natasha “Alex” Carter were found in suspect Larry Webb’s West Virginia backyard. Rick Lafferty, Alex’s father, expressed mixed emotions but urged others to never give up hope in finding their child. Webb died before the bodies were found, with prosecutors calling it a “poetic” ending.
