3 fugitive task force members killed and multiple CMPD officers wounded in a standoff – WSOC TV

Monday was a tragic day in Charlotte as three officers were killed and five more injured while working to keep the city safe. The incident occurred during a shootout when a warrant was being served by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in east Charlotte. One suspect was found dead while the officers exchanged fire, resulting in three fatalities. Back the Blue set up a GoFundMe page to provide support for those affected. Authorities have not released details about the victims or suspects, and an active investigation is ongoing. The President and Gov. Cooper expressed condolences and support for the community.
