3-year-old Ty’ah Settles, who was killed in a shooting in D.C., loved french fries and painting

Ty’ah Settles, a 3-year-old girl from Southeast Washington, loved french fries, pizza with “everything on it”, and was excited to start day care in August. Her family’s apartment was filled with her colorful doodles. However, tragedy struck when she was killed by a stray bullet during a gun battle near her home while riding in an SUV on Friday night. Ty’ah was described as the cheerful daughter her mother had always wanted, who called her “twin”. The community is devastated by the loss of this young, innocent life.
