93 people arrested at USC during protests over Gaza conflict

Los Angeles police officers arrested 93 people at USC for trespassing charges, clearing a protest encampment against the Israel-Hamas war. Protesters chanted as they were taken away, some wearing kaffiyehs and holding “free Palestine” signs. The situation grew tense at times as officers tried to move people off campus. LAPD officers surrounded the park and eventually arrested and removed protesters. The protest was part of a series of student-led demonstrations at universities nationwide. The arrests followed clashes with campus safety officers. USC canceled events due to campus tensions relating to free speech and safety concerns. Protesters demanded support for Palestine and criticized the university’s response.
