The ceremony, held at Barker Hangar on July 13 in Santa Monica, California, saw Adam, his wife Jackie Sandler, and their two daughters, Sadie and Sunny, taking to the orange carpet.

Adam, who is 57, was accompanied by Jackie, 49, and their teenage daughters—Sadie, 18, and Sunny, 15. The family struck poses for photos, standing side by side, with Adam sticking to his classic look of a polo shirt and shorts. Jackie and Sadie, on the other hand, chose to twin in little black dresses, while Sunny opted for a striking strapless electric blue maxi dress. Sunny’s sky-high white heels put her height above her parents and even her older sister, who paired her black dress with white socks and black platform loafers.

During the event, Adam was nominated for two awards. He was up for Favorite Male Actor in the Netflix comedy-drama “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah,” a film where he starred alongside his entire family, marking Sunny’s debut as a leading lady. Despite stiff competition, Adam walked away with the award for Favorite Male Voice from an Animated Movie for his role in “Leo,” presented by Benny Blanco and Bella Poarch. This win tied him with Will Smith for the second-most Kids’ Choice Awards victories, each holding 11, with Selena Gomez leading at 12 wins.

During a recent appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” the actor shared how close his family has become to the host, Jennifer Hudson. He spoke fondly of how his wife, kids, and even his mother and mother-in-law have bonded with her. “We literally got so close, we think you’re the best,” he told Jennifer.

The conversation on the show took a nostalgic turn as they reminisced about their experience filming the 2017 movie “Sandy Wexler,” where Jennifer and Adam played love interests. Jennifer, a mother to 14-year-old son David, shared the awkwardness of her son seeing her kiss Adam on screen. “It was a little strange for [David, then six years old] to see his mama kiss you in the film,” she said. Adam humorously responded, “It never goes over good.”

He gave an amusing account of how his wife reassures their daughters about his on-screen kisses, saying, “‘It’s okay, it’s part of the job, let daddy kiss.'” He added that while Sadie seemed more accepting, Sunny often sought validation from her mother, saying, “‘You have to watch them! That’s not good, I don’t like that!’” The two stars also joked about their kiss in the film, with Adam describing it as “tight-mouthed” and Jennifer calling it “movie appropriate.”
