An Air Force instructor pilot, Capt. John Robertson, died after the ejection seat of the T-6A Texan II plane he was in activated on the ground at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas. The accident occurred during “ground operations,” with no other injuries reported. The base formed an interim safety board investigation and plans for a full Air Force Safety Investigation Board.
