A Douglas DC-4 plane crashed in Fairbanks, Alaska shortly after takeoff, carrying two people. The crash occurred about seven miles south of Fairbanks International Airport, where the plane slid into a hill near the Tatana River and caught fire. No survivors have been found yet. Multiple agencies are investigating the crash, and the public has been asked to stay away from the area. The Douglas DC-4 was a military aircraft first manufactured in the late 1930s and can carry several dozen passengers. Fairbanks International Airport is cooperating with law enforcement in the ongoing investigation.
