Andre Agassi Appears at Wimbledon After Tribute to Steffi Graf

Andre Agassi delighted tennis fans on Sunday when he was seen in the royal box on Day 14 of Wimbledon. Stepping out to watch the Gentlemen’s Singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic, the Grand Slam winner was accompanied by fellow tennis player Justin Gimelstob. However, notably absent from Centre Court was Andre’s wife of 23 years and fellow Wimbledon legend, Steffi Graf.

This event was particularly special for Andre and Steffi, who were first introduced at Wimbledon in 1992. The couple, who married in 2001, share two children, a daughter named Jaz and a son named Jaden. Less than 24 hours before his appearance at Centre Court, Andre posted a heartfelt tribute to Steffi on Instagram.

In the adorable video, Andre googled Steffi’s numerous achievements, adding a love heart emoji to the caption. This touching gesture resonated with fans, sparking various warm comments. One fan wrote, “I just love how much you admire her in every way. She was my all-time favourite growing up.” Another noted, “Steffi is the greatest of all time!” A third fan chimed in with, “Proud husband there!! Legend.”

Andre also shared a throwback photo of himself from when he won Wimbledon in 1992, captioning it, “You’ll deserve it @WIMBLEDON.” Fans fondly remembered the moment, with one commenting, “I remember this moment so well. I was a huge fan and was so excited you had finally gotten your Grand Slam!!!” Another fan agreed, saying, “What a magical moment. I remember it like it was yesterday.”

Steffi Graf boasts an impressive career, holding seven Wimbledon singles titles. Andre, an Olympic gold medalist, won Wimbledon once. Andre, now 54, was last seen courtside at Wimbledon in 2017 when he was joined by tennis player Mario Ancic.

It was a star-studded day out, coinciding with the Princess of Wales’s second public engagement since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March. Other celebrities in attendance at Wimbledon included Benedict Cumberbatch, Julia Roberts, Courteney Cox, and Johnny McDaid.

As Princess Kate approached the royal box with her sister, Pippa Middleton, and her daughter, Princess Charlotte, the crowd stood up and cheered in a poignant and emotional moment. Following the match, Kate was expected to present the trophy to the winner. Her last public appearance was in June, at Trooping the Colour. Prior to the King’s birthday parade, Kate provided an update on her health, saying she is “making good progress” but acknowledged “there are good days and bad days.”
