Argentina Bolsters Border Security in Response to Iranian Attack on Israel

The Argentine Government has announced that it is taking necessary measures to increase control at the borders following Iran’s recent attack on Israel with drones and missiles. Presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni stated that the Defense and Security ministries are collaborating to implement additional alerts for any concerning incidents.

When asked about potential threats, Adorni clarified that the president has not received any direct threats and emphasized that Argentina does not believe it has become a target by addressing global issues.

Israeli ambassador to Argentina, Eyal Sela, confirmed that Israel does not have any information regarding specific terrorist threats against the Argentine population. He also mentioned the tragic terrorist attacks on the Jewish community in the 1990s, including the bombings at the Israeli Embassy in 1992 and the AMIA Jewish mutual building in 1994.

Argentine President Javier Milei recently visited Israel and met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, where he expressed solidarity against Hamas terrorist attacks and supported Israel’s right to self-defense.
