Protesters demonstrated on behalf of the victim. Kelly had been on trial for nearly a month in Nogales. He was charged with second-degree murder in the killing outside Nogales, Arizona. Prosecutors claimed he recklessly fired shots, but Kelly argued he only fired warning shots. Kelly rejected a plea deal earlier.
