Arizona Republican Kari Lake loses electronic voting lawsuit at Supreme Court

The Supreme Court dismissed a lawsuit from Kari Lake, a Republican Senate candidate, challenging the use of electronic voting machines in Arizona. Lake and Mark Finchem had not been harmed in a way that allowed them to sue, according to two lower courts. The lawsuit was based on speculation that the machines could be hacked, despite no evidence of past harm. The Supreme Court did not comment on the dismissal, and the defendants did not respond, suggesting they believed the lawsuit was frivolous. Lake criticized the court’s handling of election issues, comparing it to the 2000 Bush v. Gore case.
