Around 80 protesters detained during demonstration in support of Palestine.

Green Party Presidential Candidate Dr. Jill Stein was arrested at a peaceful protest on Washington University St. Louis’ campus and spent six hours in police custody for charges of assault. She criticized the university’s use of force against students peacefully protesting. Despite the arrest, Stein believes it will not impact her campaign and stands behind student-led movements. The protest was in response to Washington University’s ties with Boeing Co, which supplies military weapons to Israel. The protestors demanded the university cut ties with Boeing, boycott Israel institutions, and condemn the Palestinian genocide.
