Arrest made in connection to the murder of CPD Officer Luis Huesca – NBC Chicago

Xavier Tate, a suspect in the murder of Chicago Police Officer Luis Huesca, has been arrested in suburban Glendale Heights. The Chicago Police Department, along with the U.S. Marshals Service, confirmed Tate’s arrest. Tate was accused of fatally shooting Huesca with a 40-caliber handgun near his Gage Park home. Huesca, a 6-year veteran of the force, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and later pronounced dead. Tate was identified through surveillance videos and court records. The FBI had listed him on its most wanted list. A $100,000 reward was offered for information leading to Tate’s arrest and conviction.
