Arrest Made in Nudieland Mass Shooting: Teen Suspect Faces Murder and Assault Charges

Eight months after a mass shooting in south Minneapolis, a teen suspect is in custody facing seven felony charges for aiding and abetting intentional murder and felonious assault. The shooting at a DIY punk venue was motivated by bias against the victims’ gender and sexual orientation. The victims were part of an LGBTQ+ friendly community, with one person killed and several injured. The suspect was identified through DNA testing and witness statements. Charges have been filed, and the investigation continues to locate the other suspect. Burris will remain in juvenile detention, with a court appearance set for May 1.
