Attempted Shooting of Pastor at North Braddock Church

A man pulled a gun on a pastor during a church service in North Braddock, PA, on Sunday. The pastor, Glenn Germany, managed to take cover and escape the situation safely. Members of the church acted quickly to tackle the gunman and remove the gun from his hands. The suspect, Bernard Polite, confessed to police that he tried to shoot the pastor because “God told him to do it.” Later that day, a body was found in Polite’s home, with no charges filed yet. Polite was arraigned on attempted homicide charges and is being held in jail pending a preliminary hearing.
