‘Bachelor’ Alum Lexi Young Provides Significant Health Update

Lexi Young, a contestant on The Bachelor, stood out not just for her charm and beauty but also for her relatability. She openly shared her struggles with endometriosis on the show, resonating with many fans. Joey Graziadei, her match on the show, was supportive of her health issues, yet their differing views on marriage and children ultimately led to the end of their relationship.

Despite being well-matched in many ways, Lexi and Joey faced a significant hurdle regarding their future plans. Lexi, mindful of her condition, prioritized having children sooner rather than later. She even had her eggs frozen just weeks before joining the show. On the other hand, Joey envisioned a long engagement and delayed plans for children. This fundamental difference in priorities led Lexi to self-eliminate, much to the dismay of many viewers.

Following her departure from the show, Lexi has utilized her platform to raise awareness about endometriosis. She recently shared an important update about her health journey.

Endometriosis is a condition affecting approximately 10% of women worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. The severity of the symptoms can vary, and Lexi has stage 5, the most severe form. Her condition even landed her in the hospital during the filming of The Bachelor.

There is no known cure for endometriosis, making it a persistent battle for Lexi and many other women. Recently, she opened up her Instagram DMs to questions from followers, one of whom asked about her current health. According to bachelornation.com, Lexi admitted that her condition has worsened lately. She mentioned being “stressed and exhausted” due to the ongoing battle with this painful condition. Another significant concern for her was the timing of her next surgery.

“I am actually seeing my endo surgeon later this week! I will continue to share my journey as it’s not the most seamless and easy thing to navigate while being single and in my 30s!”

Despite not finding love with Joey Graziadei, Lexi remains hopeful about her future romantic prospects. She recently shared some dating advice based on her previous experiences, advising her followers on what to look for in a partner.

“Find someone who gets excited about the same things that you do. Make sure you can be 100% yourself around them. Trust your gut, it’s always right.”

She also encouraged people to give others a chance, stating, “Some of my best dates were with people that I wasn’t excited about before meeting them. There is no right person, wrong time. If two people love each other, you can make anything work.”

Some fans of Bachelor Nation have suggested that Lexi should date Bachelor In Paradise alum Tanner Courtad. However, it does not appear that she has taken this advice to heart. Would you like to see Lexi Young on BIP when it returns next year? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
